' Working together with nurses and seeing the distinction they made inspired me to believe, 'I might do that!" Meet Sharon, a sexual health nurse and non-medical prescriber who started her nursing journey in 1985 at the Royal Liverpool Teaching Hospital. In 2010 she joined Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust and continues to serve clients in Hertfordshire. 'I liked helping people and learning more about the body, so nursing just felt right.' Sharon shows. Sharon has operated in male infertility, menopause, miscarriage and colposcopy among others, showing the vast array of areas in which nurses make a distinction. 'Truly, I can't consider a location where nurses don't make an effect in some form,' Sharon confesses. On why her role is unique, Sharon describes, 'The care, kindness, and empathy we bring make the nursing function special.
